“Just thought I would let know I wasn’t sure there would be any value in attending Project Playbook. I was wrong and can confirm I found it very useful. The work / method tools explained by you to engage in better workplace behaviours are invaluable.”

Project Playbook: Project Teams Culture Workshop Program

Project Playbook is a practical culture workshop program designed for project environments where collaboration, pressure, and pace are constantly in play.

Delivered over six months (up to 12 months for complex projects or large project teams), the program helps project teams build strong cultural foundations, work effectively across disciplines, and embed behaviours that hold when projects become challenging. Rather than one off workshops, Project Playbook supports teams to design culture as part of how the project actually runs.

Participants develop practical capability in the areas that most directly affect project performance, including:

• How project culture is created through everyday behaviour
• How different roles, disciplines, and personalities interpret risk, pressure, and information
• How to communicate clearly and reduce assumption and ambiguity
• How to challenge, give feedback, and raise issues without damaging trust
• How to maintain psychological safety while holding high standards
• How to collaborate effectively under pressure

The core programme runs over three months and follows a clear progression from foundations, to application, to embedding.

Session 1 (1 Day): Foundations and Shared Language – A full day session focused on awareness and alignment. The team establishes a shared understanding of culture, Emotional Intelligence, communication, and safety. This creates the relational and psychological foundation required for deeper work later in the programme.

Key focus areas include:
• Team Culture Code and Communication Code
• Project identity and purpose
• Emotional Intelligence foundations and working with differences
• Psychological safety concepts
• Listening, questioning, and feedback awareness

Session 2 (1/2 Day + 1 Month): Application & Operationalisation – A half day session focused on turning principles into practice. The team works with real project scenarios to refine how they communicate, challenge, listen, and collaborate across disciplines.

Key focus areas include:
• Emotional intelligence triggers and working styles
• Communication Code: Operational standards
• Psychological safety behaviours in practice
• Advanced listening and questioning skills
• Feedback practice
• Human Instruction Manuals – V1

Session 3 (1/2 Day + 2 Months): Embedding and Culture Design – A half day session focused on integration and durability. The team practises high-pressure scenarios and finalises the cultural systems that will carry the project forward.

Key focus areas include:
• Complex communication under pressure
• Psychological safety during conflict and challenge
• Feedback mastery
• Human Instruction Manuals – Final Version
• Culture Code – Final Version
• Installing the team’s cultural operating system

Session 4 (1/2 Day + 5 Months): Embedding and Culture Design – This session is used to reflect on the last 6 months working together, check alignment with original purpose and goals, to check and amend culture code if needed, refresh feedback techniques, and workshop any changes needed to set up for the future.

Teams completing Project Playbook typically experience:

• Clearer communication across commercial, delivery, and design roles
• Reduced friction caused by misalignment, assumptions, and stress
• Stronger trust and collaboration across the project team
• Increased confidence in raising issues and challenging constructively
• More consistent behaviours during periods of pressure and change

Ongoing Support Between Sessions

Between sessions, the project team has access to The Condor Collective for light touch support, guidance, and reflection. This ensures learning is applied in real time, challenges are addressed as they arise, and momentum is maintained throughout the programme.

In complex projects, technical capability is rarely the constraint. Culture is.

When communication breaks down, pressure increases, and trust erodes, projects slow, risks escalate, and performance suffers. Project Playbook helps teams build the behavioural infrastructure that allows them to perform well not just when things are going smoothly, but when it really counts.

By embedding culture into ways of working, rather than treating it as an add on, teams are better equipped to deliver consistently, manage complexity, and sustain performance over the life of the project.
